Community groups...The place where no one should stand alone in their relationship with God.

Unfortunately, many times we try to build relationships on a 21st century timetable. We might think, “I want great and rewarding relationships and I want it now without any real effort and time commitment on my part.” And guess what? It does not work that way. Maybe the biggest single barrier to community is the pace of our lives. How often do you hear things like, “We’ve got to get together soon” or “let’s do lunch in a few weeks when things settle down?”

That is why Sandy Ridge does not believe you can microwave community. To have that connectedness among relationships that community provides takes time, effort, and pain. In other words, one does not drift into community and having great relationships without being intentional and making it a top priority. That is why we provide community groups on different nights of the week. The purpose of these community groups is to offer a place that is focused on loving God and other people better.
