Sandy Ridge is committed to worshiping God and one of the many ways we worship is through music. Music is one vehicle to communicate who God is and how He works in the world.

We believe what is most important when we worship God through music is letting our heart and minds experience God's transforming presence. The music we sing at Sandy Ridge is for God! So it is not about us, but about Him and if worship is not for us then that means we are not the audience to rate the service. In fact, since worship is a response to God then we are the participants and God is the audience. As a result, the style of music is far less important since worship is not about us.

Here at Sandy Ridge, we believe Colossians 3:16 which says, "sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs" still applies to God's church. We recognize that God is working in mighty and fresh ways through the lyrics godly people write today. We also recognize the great value of tapping into our rich two thousand years of music tradition. More important to us than the style of our music is the spirit of our worship... from the heart, in spirit and in truth.
